Pricing

How do you come up with my price?

From your photo. Each item is matched to our published Providence list and added up, and you see the total before you book. If the picture missed something, another photo updates it.

What’s the smallest job you’ll take?

The minimum order is $100. A single sofa at $126 clears it on its own; one twin mattress at $82 alone bills at the minimum.

Do third-floor apartments cost more?

No. The price of an item doesn’t change with the floor, the back stairs or the basement.

Is there a fee for same-day service?

No. Today’s price and next week’s price are identical.

When does paying by the truckload make sense?

For whole apartments, basements and houses. A quarter truck is $241 and a full sixteen-yard load $732; your quote compares that with item pricing and uses the lower figure.

Booking and Pickup Day

How much notice do you need?

A day or two is usually plenty. Around the mid-May and late-August move-out weeks, book as soon as your date is set.

Must someone be home for the pickup?

No. A porch, an open garage or a lockbox code works, and you’ll get photos when the job is done.

Who carries everything out?

Vetted, insured local haulers who work through JunkRabbit. Your booking and messages run through us.

Where will the truck park on a narrow street?

Tell us about parking when you book — the crew plans around one-way streets and tight blocks on the East Side and Federal Hill.

Can landlords and property managers set up regular turnovers?

Yes. Each unit can have its own quote, and access can run through lockboxes.

What We Take

Do you take mattresses?

Yes, unbagged and from any floor — a queen is $103. The city’s free bulky program is the one that leaves them out.

What about TVs and computers?

Yes. Rhode Island bans them from the trash, so we take them to electronics recycling. A mid-size TV is $68.

Can you haul leftover paint or a propane tank?

Yes, each at its own price: a one-gallon can of paint is $30 and a twenty-pound propane tank $33.

Where does everything end up?

Reusable furniture is donated first, fridges go to refrigerant recovery, electronics to recyclers, mattresses to Rhode Island’s recycling program when they qualify, and the rest to licensed disposal.

Local Rules

Who qualifies for Providence’s free bulky pickup?

Residents of buildings with six units or fewer. Pickups are scheduled with Waste Management at least 24 hours before trash day, and items go out no earlier than the night before.

What happens in buildings with seven or more units?

They don’t receive city trash service, so the owner or manager arranges private hauling.

Do the Massachusetts and Connecticut towns follow the same rules?

No — each town sets its own. Our prices and service are the same on both sides of every state line.

Which towns do you serve?

Providence County and the area within about 30 miles — including Pawtucket, Cranston, Warwick, Woonsocket, Newport, Fall River, New Bedford, Attleboro, Taunton, Killingly and Putnam. See the full area list.
